Google+ Pages Releases ‘Named Managers’ (Administrators) Functionality
Yesterday, Google announced that they have added extra functionality to Google+ Pages. At the launch of G+ Page’s, in early November, Pages only allowed a single administrator to create, update and edit a G+ Page. Today sees the launch or ability to add up to fifty individuals to update, edit, respond and control a G+ Page; calling them “Named Managers”.
To add a Named Manager, simply log in to the G+ Page and click ‘Settings’. Once on the ‘Settings’ page, select ‘Add Managers’ and add the required individual by using their email address. It’s that simple, repeat up to a maximum of fifty times!
Once an individual becomes a Named Manager, they then have access to post content, add photos or video and become part of the conversation for all elements within a G+ Page. Notifications for the G+ Page will appear on their Google+ toolbar, where another enhancement has been released related to viewing and responding to notifications.
Named Managers will see notifications appear in the Google+ toolbar. Simply by clicking on the red notification number, a secondary dropdown menu will appear showing the conversations or notifications, where you can directly respond or engage to the posts, comments or interaction within your Google+ Stream on your G+ Page.
The third and final enhancement released today from Google relates to the aggregated count of users. Displayed prominently on the G+ Page, the number displayed now relates to count of users who engaged with pages, either by +1’s or by adding your G+ Page to a Circle.
Google+ is evolving a great pace, and here at digital marketing agency Intergage we cannot recommend to our clients highly enough the opportunity and benefits a Google+ Page offers your Business or Brand. For more details and to find out more about Google+, please….
